The  simple conversion will change over from wheels to ski in less than an hour with simple hand tools. The beauty of this system enables use of the SeaWing in deep powder snow or ice covered ponds.  </div> <bR> <div> The ski has a carbide keel with a lightweight polycarbonate body.  This unit attaches to the airframe by simply removing the nose wheel  pivot bolt and the lift cable. Then installing the ski shaft in it's place.  The angle of the ski can be preset depending on the snow conditions. The main gear can still be raised or lowered normally depending on the type of surface you are flying from.  Hard pack and ice, gear down. Soft stuff, gear up, The rudder is of no use in the winter and should be removed because it will drag in the snow. Yeh I know it's  F^*#"%g cold but I have found the secret to keep warm and comfy even in those below freezing temps and it's worth it.
